Well it's not a progressive

Silver Nugget is offering $5000 on dollar RF's and giving away an iPAD if you get 4 Aces with a Kicker. There is also a drawing.

I believe it adds over a percent to any game.

If you need an iPAD I would think it's a good deal.

Note: and iPAD is not a true MAC and will not take normal MAC software.

If anyone wins the iPAD and needs help setting it up, I recommend Anthony Saxton the head of the MAC users club here in town...he's the best.

Unfortunately as I reported last week, the best games appear to be in the vicinity of 7/5 Bonus Poker. Even with triple point Fridays, I don't see you get over 100% return.

There have been threads before about strange things such as accidentally throwing away a deuce in deuces wild and hitting a Royal.
I thought hitting four $4K Royals my last trip to LV earlier this month was unusual but this also happened.
Playing a bar top at the EC I tried to hold a pair of nines but the machine locked up. Neither the hold buttons nor touching the screen worked so I got the bartender's attention to have him call an attendant. After he asked me what the problem was he hit the machine with his fist and lo and behold the hold buttons now worked. I held the two nines and NATURALLY the other two nines popped up for $250 in credits. Also naturally, the bartender took the credit, lol.

Often this means one of the doors on the machine has come loose/very
slightly open, or is loose enough that the machine thinks it is open,
and it locks up until it thinks the door is firmly closed again...

Those are my top two strange VP experiences, I think.

I don't know about strange, but a couple of weeks ago I "fat fingered" the hold of a pair of Jacks and wound up keeping a 6 "kicker". The draw filled another two 6's for a FH.

Player on my left commented, "you held a 6?". I flatly replied, "I'm psychic", with a enigmatic grin.

He cashed out and moved a couple of hands later ...

Okay Joe, we (at least I) want to know the details of the 4 royals trip Including (1) how many days, (2) games played, (3) estimated number of total hands/coin in, and (4) net trip result - up or down. With 4 royals, I hope it was up nicely.

thanks,
Bob, who will be in LV in 10 days

Was playing dollar 10 play STP DW and got the ducks 8 times....one draw produced 2 of them...but none had a multiplier. Kind of a good news / bad news story.

Playing DDB accidentally held two 4's when I had 2 pair and got the other 4's with a kicker for 2280. Sometimes it pays to be stupid

Same thing happened to one of my ex's once...she had 2244 playing DDB, and she held the 224, and I was like "What are you doing?! You had a paying hand!" Sure enough, up pops the other 22 for a 22224...duh!

I'm playing at the bartops the other night and the woman sitting next to me
nudges me to show me she's gotten dealt 4A with a deuce. I notice that she is
playing DDB and only has the 4A held.

So I tell her hold the deuce, she says why should I hold the deuce. So I say
louder, HOLD THE DEUCE, she says I don't think I need to hold the deuce. She
hits the deal button before I could show her the pay table and draws a 10. Her
2000 credits go down to 800 and she looks at me and says, I guess I should have
held the deuce. What a freaken moron. I actually felt bad for her.

Can anyone beat that?

Joel

I've held a Quick Quads before. When I wasn't playing Quick Quads.

I'm so impressionable. Whenever I see a QQ that voice in my head goes,
"Quick quads!"

My mom done worse...
We were playing 25c DDB, and she got that same hand dealt, AAAA2, and she screamed and WHAM! hit the draw button...OOPS, forgot to hold any of them, $500 down the drain...(I think she thought the machine would immediately pay it, since the week prior she seen me hit a Dealt RF to lock up the machine and begin paying)
As a side note, we had NO IDEA you could call a slot tech and they'd run the hand back for you...now, we know.
P.S.- That machine ran so hot, we got a few MORE quad aces, even one with a kicker later that night...so I guess it was Karma coming back...

I do too. You can bet she'll spend the next few days kicking herself black and blue over her obliviousness (and the fact that someone else pointed it out and yet she remained clueless until too late).

Of course, such empathy only extends until she gets behind the wheel of her car and I encounter her on the road. If her play is at all reflective of her driving habits, I'll find myself praying someone "takes her out" and puts her out of her misery

I just got back from a week in Vegas. I almost did the same. Had been
practicing so much on QQ that I nearly held QT several times while playing
FPDW. As it turned out, I could not find any 9/6 JOB QQ so none was
played.

Matter of terms.... by QT I mean quick trips (5532, 7743, etc) - not queen

I'm confused, but some of you already know that. Are you talking about TQ
suited or unsuited? The suited TQ can certainly be held in both QQ and
FPDW. If unsuited, I don't know of any instance in either game this can be
held. I must be missing the point.

We all should take a minute or to to THANK GOD that there are people out there purposefully making these less than optimal decisions at the VP machines.
