tipping on hand payoff

I've been fortunate enough to get some Royal Flushes which required a W2G and a hand payoff. I've always been curious on how much tip I should give the attendants for a 4K and a 2K jackpot. There's usually two persons involved. In my excitement of getting royals, I think that often I'm overly generous.

Thanks

My last royal at Rampart at was 20,000 I gave both the change people 100 each. Right or Wrong thats what they got.

From the vpFREE FAQs:

"47. How much do vpFREE members tip? - From vpFREE 2002 Polls:

The median tip for hand paid jackpots - $250 : $2 - $1,000 : $10 - $4,000 : $20 - $20,000 : $75"

Whether there is one person or 10 persons hanging around for the payoff , the best tipping policy is to give the tip to
the actual person who gives you the money into your hand.
Believe me, after they leave, they will fight amongst themselves for the correct cut... then again its no longer your problem once the tip enters ONE of their hands.

My personal rule of thumb is to tip around .5% of the handpay...it can go up or down depending. Max would be 1%. Min would be 0%.

If the taxable is due to an accumulation of hands, say on 10 play games, then there is no tip.

So making your bed, cleaning your toilet, picking up your dirty tissues/glasses/whatever and collecting maybe $290 for a 40 hour week, that's not worth $2 a day to you?

I guess not.

I can only wish you the very best of luck on the hand you play THAT $2.00 on.

Yes it is worth tipping. I tip anywhere from $5.00 - $20.00 a night. They do not get paid enough for this kind of work and i really appreciate their hard work. I get so much better service and make someones day better at the same time, its work it to me!

If all the Slot attendant does is hand you the W2 and the cash then he isn't providing you any "special services". Why should he get $20 for a 4k payout (and less than 10min of his time)?

The maid may spend 30 min or more breaking her a$$ cleaning up after you (dirty towels/toilet/sink/carpet, lifting the mattress to change the sheets etc etc etc) and she gets zip??

It can't be that MUCH more. The first figure is the mean hourly national wage. The second is for Las Vegas.

Fair enough, but you still haven't answered what other people are
asking, which is why you consider slot attendants an exception to your
rule or stance on tipping. Aren't hand pays part of their job, or do
you consider that an extra service?

i dont like it and most game are tito unless a progressive or w2g so i give a tip about 1% as these peoples pay depends alot on tips as they may watch a machine when i take a restroom break fix it when it jams up. the housekeeping staff when they only do the basic job are being paid a salary and unless i request extra service more towels or other special service a tip is not necessary since they understand when they took the job tips would not be part of their compensation

Overnight, the Rampart changed their NSUD to 15/9 at the Round Bar and the "pit" in all denominations. I didn't check the other banks.
