I'll give you a pool shootin' exhibition. Bring some money, kid. I don't need
your money, but I will damn sure make you pay for your lessons.

My head is smokin'. Any one should definitely be able to tell, from my last few
posts, that I fell off the wagon last night. A good time was had by all.

In Nevada, or Mississippi, or AC, and probably in some more jurisdictions I'm a
dime a dozen guy. But in Montana I'm a diamond in the rough. I'm the pioneer
machine pro here. Nobody here knows anything about gambling, not even the
owners of the machines. The couple at the veterans club and the couple on the
Aces Full $75 play are the only ones I've seen here that have even 10% of a
clue.

Good luck on your Washington trip. There used to be a few low denom wongable slots in those few outlaw places but today i'm not sure.
The big games used to be in Oregon. There was a high limit room at Spirit Mountian with $5 kool Kat, Bingo, 5 line diamond mine, diamond thief, bonus pie, a bank of triple cash windfall, and a carousel of $25 build your bonus!! These machince got a lot of action , and needless to say a lot of people made a lot money. Oh did I mention they launched their first single deck bj game in this room 50 or 100 to $1000 dealt down to the last card with dealers exposing hole cards.
yep that was cancelled a couple weeks. The slots are gone too, unless you count 3 reamaining machines converted to 10 cents haha.

There is not much left at chinook winds either. A dollar bingo and a dollar baseball, that get very little play. Garbage vp there too.
Oregon has pretty much been VP wastland since casinos came in.

I did get a super video bj play in oregon ten yrs ago. It was the old
"winning Touch" machines. It had $1 bj 10 coin max. sd s17 d9, so good off the top. But even better with 3% UNLIMITED cashback 2 days a
week. Promo was for month. Payed %1 all other days of the month. Ah those were the days.

I played those winning touch machines in the oregon bars when they first legalized slots. every place had 25 cent redhot sevens, not big money obv, but there were lots of good plays left for the first couple months. Last thing they had was 5 cent green stamps, got some good plays at the beginning and hit some for $500 and $600. They still got them but no one plays the game anymore (its on amulti game/denom machine) not worth the gas to even check anymore.

Love the old vp and slot stories, keep them coming.

Al has been sitting in the 30/60 Stud Hi Lo games at the Rio this week. When he gets here next week we are going in the other direction, over to Washington, to play some poker and see what we can find in the way of machines. There's a couple Indian casinos over there that have never signed a compact with the state and have Nevada type machines. We'll see what we can find.

Thanks for that info. I had almost forgotten about Deadwood. I seem to recall that was big news maybe 20 or 30 years ago, like $5 limit poker or something. Too bad they don't have better video poker. Maybe that will change someday. Thanks for the info.

Yes, in both states. South Dakota has Indian casinos and they also have Deadwood. They also have machines in the bars. Al was driving back from the midwest about a year ago and I got him to do some snooping around in South Dakota. The bars have nothing playable in video poker. In Deadwood the poker games are good, and he also found some advantage slots, but the video poker sux.

There are Indian casinos in North Dakota. I haven't been there but have gotten reports that there are some advantage slots.

Is that joint still open? What kind of a play did you put down?

Great Falls,

We are a couple of home run hitters but I dont think we're going to be home run hitters in this spot. But we are walking men. We will do it on our own.

But thank you brother

Don Parks, you are a real diamond in the roogh, guy. Thank so much for the information. I think it makes things easier for guys like Al and me.

I am curious, maybe someone can answer, we will be arriving Sunday and since there is a high profile NBA game that night, how many people have been there to bet on this series? Is it a big draw even though it isn't LA involved? I remember 2 times we were there when the Lakers were in the Finals and that town was rockin'.

I think the limit in Deadwood is up to $100 now.

I had friends who worked those slots at Spirit Mountain. They eventually started getting heat. One friend, Cat Man John got pitched out.

It's been several years ago but I've played poker at Tulalip, Muckeleshoot, the Emerald Queen. I used to play in a Tahoe Split game at the Parkland Bowling Alley, just south of Tacoma.
I spent a couple days playing poker at 7 Feathers in Oregon, and also Wild Horse Pass just out of Pendleton.

For some reason Al is interested in Tulalip at Marysville but we may as well hit all the rooms while we're over that way.

Mickey- I remember Catman John, but I heard him referred to as "14 Cat John" haha. I only played on weekends there, but at about the time John was there I think I counted about 12 guys hustling there
in that little room, It was crazy. A lot of guys were asked to leave.

It is not as big a draw as the Lakers---You won't see any big crowds

Don, some people called him Johnny Katz. He was the tightest advantage slot player of all time. He only liked totally nut plays. He was an old poker dealer. A nice guy. His only leak in life was his daughter. She got anything she wanted, the rest of us can all go to hell. He got the name Catman John because he traveled in a motor home that had a bunch of cats in it. I guess there must have been 14. I love the Catman. He was a good man.
