Sorry, but I could not resist answering this myself. In June 1983 my brother and I were sitting in a bowling alley bar in Reno having a couple of beers after work and I dropped two dollars into a $1 VP bar machine playing JoB (I was a .25 cent player back in those days). Drew three to the royal. It was so painful that I have never played short coin since and as you can see, I have never forgotten it either.
