progression systems

I am a not a extremely educated numbers person, but do have a good
handle and understanding of the basics. I have been gambling for many
years and read many books on hundreds of systems and all of them work
in a certain type of situation. As I have seen the ones that seem to
work the most often are progression systems, but I believe they all
fail most of the time. I believe it is that very small % of the time
that they do work over and over for a lucky person that keeps the book
writers primed. I think we would all like some panacia of some
perfect system that works everytime, but then the casinos would just
change the rules, somewhat like the good games keep getting harder to
find as more educated players play them. So my progression story goes
as follows, many years ago I felt I had a well tested progression
system that was a variation on several others I had read about. I
gathered my bankroll, went off to the casino and won, and won and won,
and kept winning. I kept track exactly and felt this was better than
printing money (and legal too). Things went along and I gained more
and more confidence and told some of my special friends (dont want to
tell everyone). Well unfortunately luck wasnt always on my side and I
took two very substantial hits and I believe a smaller one and decided
maybe this wasnt as good as it seemed in the good stages. I actually
was up a modest amount when I quit and if I continued maybe I would
have a book out right now talking about how successful I am as a
gambler, but I believe in the math and at almost every game the math
favors the casino. So now I try to play only games where the math
favors me, amazingly things have seemed to go much better when the
math is in my favor as upposed to when I am using some system that
works MOST of the time. But if anyone has that perfect system and
they want to share it with me I will be happy to listen.
