just a thought

If someone tells me that it really doesnt matter what the payscale for
a machine is (ie 10-7 or 9-6) I dont think I can trust much of what
they say because I am going to hit quite a few full houses and flushes
in any session and if the casino is taking 5 of my coins each time I
hit either one of these I am going to either have less winnings at the
end or I am going to run out of money faster on the lower payscale
than on the better payscale. If I can play longer I have a better
chance to hit more winning hands and then a better chance to win
period. Payscales have to matter. I used to be a craps player and
only played the better bets with small house advantages, yet I never
had a positive outcome for more than a very short period of time.
With learning and playing only the best available payscales at VP I
have done way better than I ever did a craps. I believe you cant
change the math, that is what the casinos have depended on during
thier entire existance. They dont have to cheat because whether a
specific person wins on a 92% slot machine on a specific day or not is
irrelivent, the more play the 92% machines get the closer the overall
result will be to the 92% payback that is programmed in. Fluctuations
are part of the situation and the casino is OK with that, I think
people tend (including myself at times) to try to put too much into
the results of a specific session, such as not enough Flushes or
quads, if the games are truely random (I think so) then there are
going to be really great sessions, and unfortunatly really horrible
sessions. I love the first and try to handle the latter the best I
can. They both have to happen or the game would be suspect for not
being truely random. Also who would really want to play if they were
guaranteed to get the expected result exactly every time you play. I
dont think any one would play 40,000 hands in a session to get a RF.
Well those are just some thoughts about this crazy/fun game that we
choose to play.
