Harrah's is remodeling the whole Mardi Gras side of their casino over
the next several months. They will be doing sections at a time until
completion by memorial day 2007. Jester's Deli is being replaced with
a new grill/restaurant. The bar in the center will be redone. The
whole mardi gras side of the casino will be enhanced to fit more
machines. Also, "rapid roulette" will be introduced. It is just like
regular roulette with the dealer spinning a ball, but the players will
be at video terminals placing their bets instead of in a herd around
the table. Harrah's is going to make all of their casinos look quite
similar so that it will be easy for their regular customers to enjoy
each one of their properties. St. Louis is the first in the country to
start this new idea. As to how the video poker machines will be, I
guess we will just have to wait and see.
