Visiting for first time for the great race thing over Labor Day weekend. Since they are flying 2 of us in; about $650; can we expect any more comps for meals etc or should we just expect to use points? Looking at database, only single line machines so it will be hard to do significant coin in. Anything we need to know special about machines, restaurants, rooms, etc.
What about blackjack; enjoy some table play. LV rules? Thanks, RW.

My experience is - unless specified in the offer, expect to use points. (this is only for your offer - ) To talk to a host, go to the high limit area (casino on the right from the prominade - back behind the table games) or, ask a dealer/pit boss at tables or *3 at machines - don't go looking on Labor Day weekend, let them find you. Check with a host every day - they do have discretionary comps based on play or the phase of the moon (or so it seems)

The full pay machines I play are in the back/center area of the casino to the left from the prominade - back by the poker room.

S17, das, split Aces up to 4x, double any two cards, deal from shoe, 3/2 - so, better rules than LV Caesar's properties.
Dining - no good breakfast option
If you like Italian, Charlie Gitto's has a before 6 pm menu - soup/salad + pasta for $11.99, others for $14.99 and $18.99 - smaller portions, but I am a big eater and the before 6 items keep me happy.
There are multiple promotions - try swiping at all different video stands. The line is usually for the buffet rather than the promotions.
You want to be sure to stay in the Marti Gras towner - that is the new tower, all of the rooms I have stayed in were nice, MG tower rooms are just nicer. Most rooms have fridges and coffee makers - but ask when you check in. Your views are parking lot, parking garage or towards the river - not much to see. I like an east facing room (parking lot) to get up in the morning.
U pay for drinks in Missouri - diamond lounge is 1/2 of casino floor drink price - usually. Diamond lounge food - well, the sandwiches are OK, the hot food is, well, the sandwiches are OK.
At the machines *2 = beverage service *3 = casino service, so *3 if you want to lock up your machine or want directions or a host. Bathrooms are in the 4 corners of the casino, but can be a little hard to find - good to look around before you sit down to play (but I expect you know that)
