Does Anyone Remember the VP That Stupak Had In Vegas World?

I remember a friend of mine always wanting to go play there, and later on at the Stratosphere, because of their high paying VP machines.

I recall two different machines that paid either/or 10/6 or 9/7. Weren't these regular JOB machines? If Stupak could make money on these machines with those payouts, how come today's Vegas casinos can't do the same?

The Strat at one time had "super pay" JOB. Many moons ago. The 10/6 followed the same strategy as 9/6 as I recall. 9/7 required thinking. Can't say if Vegas World had machines with the same pay tables.

The Vegas World Super Pay JOB were 10/7...later The Strat had 10/6 and 9/7.

Stupak also had Bonus Poker that paid the 200 coin bonus on more than just the quad 2, 3, and 4's. I think it was the also for the quad 5 and 6's.

Does anyone remember if Stupak ever made any money on Vegas World or Stratosphere? Seems he was always in hot water with debtors.
Cheers,
Bonnie

Wow, 10/7 Jacks or Better. I remember gambling at 25 cent level at the Strat (opened 1996) but Vegas World (closed 1995) must have been a kick.

The Vegas World 10/7 must have been the days when a quarter player could make a few bucks and get lot's of comps et al.

Let me address your question with a couple of my own. Do you see the
difference between these two phrases; could make money, and could make more
money? Did you ever look at the money stats. showing the average daily
earnings of a slot machine? See, this is an easy answer. The mental
visual image of Bob Stupak as a disciplined casino owner and >

Glad to see I could get many responses regarding VP at VW. Remember all his ads in magazines and newspapers giving you $1500 or so for a $300 reservation? Most of it came in the form of $1000 non-negotiable gambling chips.

Vegas World?

Stupak (and Wynn and others) were financed by Banker Parry Thomas:

One of a small group of movers and shakers of the Valley a generation ago.

Stupak made and lost a lot of money. Vegas World had revenues of $100 million/year according to:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegas_World.

In the early 70's, I visited Vegas travelling cross-country. We drove past Circus Circus about 10 minutes; threw the sleeping bags outside the car and went to sleep in the middle of the Desert.

I believe I got the same postcard. I was doing well with the free play and all the extras at the Four Queens. I had made it my "home casino" I am a .25 player. Any suggestions of some where else that is not in Henderson or south point with similar free slot play in the mailer?

I am still getting my copies of CP and also Strictly Slots. They usually arrive very late.
I.e. I just received the April copies. If you haven't received any in a long while, I would
call their subscription department....if they still have one.
