Well we went to Ameristar today to eat. Stopped at the VIP booth
before entering the buffet and was told we did not have to get a
comp for our points to use at the buffet that they now just take the
points off your account at the buffet cashier, OK we went to the
cashier couldn't believe it we were second in line. There were
actually about 3-4 couples in the VIP line and we got in before
them. I wondered why then the cashier said $19.99 each. With the tax
$44.00 plus. My wife only had $38 on her card so I said just take
the balance off my card.
The cashier said NO you have to pay. ???
Why couldn't they just take it off my card?
Well anyway she said she could only run one card thru.
We've been to Vegas many times. Isn't $44+ a little too much for a
buffet? The last time we went for the crab leg & steak night the
line came way out to the concourse and the VIP line was about a half
hour wait. If I remember correctly they were then charging around
$18 each.
I guess Ameristar pushed the price just a little too much.
NO ONES THERE it's almost empty by old day standards and if no ones
there no ones playing the machines. Afterall isn't that one of the
reasons for the buffet.
Another thing if we have compitition with Ameristar & Harrah's how
come neither casino has decent vpoker schedules.
Do they have to have EVERY PENNY ? Most of us just want to play.
Plus most of us do not play at the 100% perfect play level even if
we are really into vpoker. You know sometimes we will hold the two
Aces when were not suppose to like in Bonus Deuces you hold the 2
pair regardless, so then were not playing at the 100% level. If
anyone has a old Video Poker Mania paperback it shows in it that
players do not come even close to the 100% level playing so why not
give us better pay schedules so we can play longer?
