Cancelled Trip to Ceasar's LV

Just a note to say thanks. I'd booked a trip for today though Friday at Caesar's with the intention of playing some serious 1 or 2 dollar 3/5 line VP. However given the chances reported here and the confirmation I got from Caesar's I canceled and wrote Mr. Lovemen a note of disappointment. Frankly no reasonable games, no bonus points, there is no need for my money there. I'd suggest others taking their business to other casino's and telling them their doing so might make someone reconsider their position.

Secondly, if locals choose one date to avoid any Harrah's property it might get some attention.
The net is a great tool for mobilizing action.

I may be in the same boat. Does anyone have a property they can
suggest that has good video poker and on the strip? I don't mind
paying for the room upfront and then letting them decide how much to
discount and/or comp based upon my play. My wife will force me to
stay on the strip and not downtown or off-strip location. I play
primarily quarter and fifty cent level and every now and then will
venture to the dollar level and generally will play all day long (at
least 8 - 10 hours a day for each stay).

BTW, I looked at the VP Casino list on this group and found it
informative and only looking for suggestions from other members.

Not sure, although a friend told me he saw 10/7 Double Bonus at Wynn
in April. I was there in May and only saw 9/6 Double Bonus there.
Maybe he was looking at a dollar or higher level. I love the Wynn,
but I don't think my level of play will amount much to them.
Harrahs, at least for now, still provides comp rooms up to five
nights for me when I go (except for Caesars - never understood that)
based upon my current level. I typically generate approx. 1,000
points a day exclusively on vp at Harrah's - or approx. $10,000 in
action per day. I fear The Wynn would probably look at that as chump
change. I have 9,200 points on Total Rewards and just shy of Diamond
by 800 points, but not really sure what additional benefits I will
get as a Diamond other than the Diamond Lounge. As someone else
stated, I am hooked on my Total Rewards benefits and reluctant to
change because they have been so good to me the last few years, but I
guess I should just enjoy the perks while they last. I fear even the
free rooms from Harrah's will start to disappear soon. For my trip
this summer, I will probably just take advantage of the comp rooms
and stay at Bally's and start to branch out to some of the other
casinos and build up some action.

Those were on the famous bank of 4 machines with full pay games. They
are gone, probably for good. There's still plenty of 9/6 JOB at the
dollar level and up, as well as 9/7 DB and 8/5 BP according to the
database.

Lots of people report getting attractive offers with limited slot play
at Wynn. On the other hand I gave them what I thought was a decent
amount of action last year and have never gotten an offer not made to
anyone on their mailing list. It's possible they noticed I knew where
the full pay machines were and got slightly more than my fair share of
Royals on them though.

Lots of people report getting attractive offers with limited slot play
at Wynn.

I went to see Spamalot in April and put maybe $40 through a bartop $1
VP machine while waiting to go to the show. I just got an email offer
for 3 free night...they are specific nights mon-thurs in June and I
can't go then but thought that was a pretty nice offer for what was
terrible play....wonder if they somehow get names from Harrahs as I am
Diamond there.
Hopefully they will keep sending them to me and I'll get to go one of
these days!!
trish

Talking about the Wynn, yes, there are some 9/6 JOB machines at $1 and up, but, make sure
that you check the paytable before putting your money in. There are LOTS of 8/5 JOB there
as well. The machines all "look" the same from the outside, but the paytable makes all the
difference.

Just the other night I saw a group of 4 guys gleefully playing on 4 adjacent machines. Those
machines were all 8/5 JOB. Just across the aisle were 4 9/6 JOB machines sitting idle!

Anecdotally, it is my feeling that the ratio of 8/5 vs 9/6 JOB at the Wynn has gone up
drastically. :frowning:

Hi Trish,

I read your post with much interest. I have heard similiar nice
stories from other forum members and personal friends.

I received my WYNN Red Card, last January, during the CES, on the
day of my first and only visit to WYNN. At that time we played for
a couple of hours, both on the (then available) positive bank of
(50c)10/6DDB and the regular, plain vanilla ($1.00) 9/6 JOB. I was
playing at my normal speedy 600-800 hands per hour. EH was also
playing the same games, at his usual slow 300-400 hands per hour.
We played sufficient C/I to earn a few sets of buffet comps, two of
which we used for lunch that day.

I had thought that this amount of play was going to be enough to
generate at least, some kind of a "discounted" room offer. No such
luck. Not only have I never heard from WYNN, with any kind of
offer, but when I access their website, imput my Red Card #, and
check room reservations, the charges shown are the same rack rates
available to any non-player.

I really don't know what to make of this. Should I be distressed
that they don't want my action (perhaps, because we played
the "positive" bank) or, should I be flattered that they think that
my play is too "strong" for them. ((O:

We are staying at the now pillaged CP during the 2008 CES. I
intended to give WYNN considerable more play at that time, and also
use those luscious buffet comps. Now, I'm not sure that we wouldn't
be better served playing at another strip property. What is the
opinion of the knowledgable forum members

Any comments or anecdotal experiences will be appreciated.

Thanks!
~Babe~

Babe, welcome to the club. I gave Wynn a ton of play (~$250K coin in)
during their legendary 7s and 8s double jackpot promotion last year and
did quite well. I received good mailers for a month or so after that
and then my mailers abruptly stopped. Nada. Nothing. I called my
host who basically said, "you're too good -- we don't want your
business any more." I never got formally trespassed or anything, it
was just made clear that I wouldn't ever be receiving a single offer
ever again! My play was about 75% on the $1 single-line 10/7DB and 25%
on the 10-play $1 9/6JB. It was fun while it lasted...

It has been rumored that the Wynn player tracking gives them your
skill level at VP and that this has some affect on your offers.

It might not be a bad thing that Wynn isn't sending you offers!

I have played there twice since it opened (last April and August). 1st time
on the fab four machines (APJOB) and the second time on standard 9/6 JOB.
This was due to 3 of the four positive machines being occupied and my wife
was with me and this being the first time at Wynn I let her take the 4th
machine. I put a little over $40,000 CI and got $39,000 CO. My wife ran
$5000 thru and took out $5100. Got the buffet comp twice. My wife and I
both received our first offer this week. Mine $159 rack rate during the
week, $189 on weekends and $100 free play. Wife's offer was $199 week day,
$229 weekend and $25 free play. Till they have nsud or games and paytables
above and beyond that I won't be playing at Wynn.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your prompt response. Because of your post, I called
the Red Card Club, at WYNN, and inquired whether they had my email
address on file. I think that I have discovered my problem.
Someone had transposed two letters in my address. I am now assuming
that my nice offers are floating in cyberspace limbo!

My address is now corrected in their computer system, and I am
waiting for a nice offer to arrive. ((O:

BTW, when we played last January, 250 points ($2250 C/I) was required
for the first two buffets. Then 500 points was required for each
two additional buffets. We had C/I of about $14K in the two hour
plus period that we played. Not phenomenal, by any means, but not
terrible either. Especially since a bunch of it was on regular
$1.00 9/6JOB.

If I start receiving offers now, I'll post about it.

Thanks again,
~Babe~

Hi Pepper!

Are/were you a Peppermill (Reno) player? If so, did you ever win
anything substantial in the "peppermillions" game?

Thanks for your post about your experiences with WYNN. I would love
to be in your club, but unfortunately, our C/I is hardly in the same
league as yours. I have heard from other expert players that they
have been "backed off" by WYNN, at least to the extent of not
receiving any further offers. I'm sorry that this happened to you as
well.

If I start to receive some offers now that my email address has been
corrected, I guess that I will have to pout and feel insulted! ((O:

Best regards,

Hi Money. (I like your name!)

You've presented me with a dilemma upon which I will now cogitate.

My choices would appear to be as follows: (1) WYNN just doesn't
like me. (2) WYNN likes you better. (3) WYNN thinks that I'm an
advantage Flea-Pro who could wreck their bottom line (4) WYNN has
been frantically trying to reach me to offer me 7 free nights with
RFB and $500 FP, but had an incorrect email address for my mailbox.

Hmmm......I think that I'll go with #4. See ya at the WYNN!! ((O:

I put $15K though on my card playing 25c SP JoB and another $18K on my

plenty other casinos love me!

All my offers came by snail mail as coupons. I game at some Indian casinos (yeah, I know, but they are close!) and I got some mail saying they sell our names to other casinos and then I started getting offers from places I never heard of. Plus, after I started to game and became diamond at Harrahs, I got offers from places I maybe put twenty bucks through. So, go figure. I like Harrahs, especially Laughlin. They comp me good with airfare, rooms, food and I like to shop at their cost:) Also, I play half vp and half slots. $1 slots are where the comps are and I do pretty good on the slots so far. Hope you get your offers soon.

Babe, sorry to hear about your missing offers from Wynn :<

Here's some proven short-cuts to the Wynn offers:
1. After hitting a couple of quads from your favorite vp machines,
cash out, get up, turn to your left, walk to one of those Megabucks
slot machines and insert a $20 and play. As you already know, two of
those machines hit the jackpot last year! :>

2. Take out another $20 from your pocket and have fun with one of
those penny slot machines (Cleopatra, Unicorn, etc.).

3. This one worked really well for me. Forget about the Pay Schedules
for an hour or two. Walk around the casino check out all those short-
pay vp machines that do hit big credits frequently (and there are
plenty of them at the Wynn). You may have to wait for your turn to
play them though, unless you come back in those early morning hours...
One of the casino hosts will be looking for you shortly and
invitations to Free Slot Tournaments, Win a Ferrari, etc. will be
coming your way.

Good luck!!!
