Hi Everyone:
I typically only visit Harrah's & Ameristar in the STL area. From the
previous msg I guess we better start talking more if we want to keep
our group. So here are the updates I know of from the above properties.
Harrah's still has the 3 almost full pay games on the Mardi Gras side
in the High Limit Slot/VP area. They added a bunch of All American
games, but the 4 of a Kind only pays 150, so it is a bad game. They
also added a bunch of triple play Pick Em games and as usual the pay
scale is short and no good. The 9/5 Double Double bonus bank (8
games) w/progressive is pretty active and the other day the royal was
over $11,000 (over 100% but very volitile) Over on the Island side
there still are a few 99% $1 games, but that is nothing to get excited
about.
How about some people reporting on the under $1 games for those with
more limited bankroll's
Ameristar yanked any of the decent $1 games out of the High Limit room
early this year and it has been a ghost town as far as VP goes in there.
So they decided to mix it up a bit and installed about 6 or 8 of the
wonderfull (not really) 9/5 DDB with 4 progressives so now there are 2
banks of this game that is rarely playable. The Bonus Dueces
progressives upstairs by the poker room are still there but dont seem
to be getting much action (most of the games in that area are $.25 so
I think people walk up to them and go Uh Oh these are $1 and walk
away. the base value is 98.8 and with the progrsvs they do get close
to or over 100% fairly often, unfortunately it is the only decent
chance for the $1 player at Ameristar, they still have the bank (8?)
of the multi game $.25 machines on the right past the craps tables and
most of the games are about 99% I believe and thier Multi Strike games
are much better than Harrah's MS (horrible pay scale) games. There
are no Double or Triple point days in Aug at Ameristar, but I was told
that they would have Double point days in Sept.
Harrahs also added just recently a bank of 8 Bonus Poker 7/5 (base
98%) with 4 progressives, so this may occasionly offer a playable
game. Does anyone know how to calculate the value of the progressive
on the sequential ACES part of this game? the other day it was over
$6000 but I personally have never seen it get hit (I am sure it does
happen) I suppose this part of the progrsv increases the games value
very slowly.
How about some updates for the President/Alton Belle/Queen
thanks and go win some money
