Tonight we went to Ameristar for the crab leg buffet. We asked for a
comp for two, since we thought we had enough from previous play. We
were
informed that as of last Sunday, comps no longer accumulate, and that
our short play this evening didn't warrant any comp at all.
After expressing outrage at what had been assured to us by
at least a dozen club persons, we did manage to get enough $$ for
most
of the two buffets. We think that we probably lost about $20-$30 in
comps that we had left behind, that with their considerable
reassurance,
would be waiting for us on our next visit.
Other people in line near us lost $100 or more. We had taken a lot of
comps during the last few weeks, so we feel we didn't get too badly
ripped off; just outraged that they would do this without any warning.
BTW, the crab leg line was as short as we have ever seen it. We were
the
third party in the elite line. I think is was because of the (a)
price
increase to $19.99, (b) people couldn't get a comp, or (c) most
likely
of all, American Idol was on TV.
So, sorry, the game is over. And now, back to Harrah's.
