Your Top 5 choices of vp games are...

When you enter a casino and your favorite vp game is not available,
what's the next game down your list that you look for to play?
For example:
1 - FPDW
2 - 10/7 DB
3 - 9/6 JB
4 - NSUD
5 - 8/5 BP

If FPDW is not available, next choice is 10/7 DB, if 10/7 DB is not
available, next choice is 9/6 JB, and so on...

For me "favorite" and "order of choice" are not the same.

Favorite games:
1. AA (200 coins on 4OAK)
2. Pick'Em (On my new home machine)
3. FPJW (Love the triple-PLAY at Stardust)
4. Goldmine Poker (On my new home machine)
5. DDB (any)
6. DB (any)
7. Keno (any) (On my new home machine)
8. 5-play MultiStrike (Any)

Current order of game choice in any casino
1. AA
2. FPJW
3. FPDW
4. 10/7/80 DB
5. Nothing

*** Pick'Em is played when my brain is going to sleep or for free at home.

So sorry irdd3000. Didn't think that one will only play fpdw and no
other vp game(s). It must be very hard on you when you go to
another casino and found out that the very few remaining fpdw
machines are all taken and you can't even make reservations to tell
them you're on your way.
Sounds like you live very close to the casinos otherwise, your
choice #5 will be a tough option if you think of the airfare or the
expensive gasoline you paid for along the way.

You can always bring your notebook PC and play fpdw if you have
WinPoker or Frugal Video Poker. (: I've never seen a vp game
called "don't play vp" or "do something else besides vp". :>

uh...the point being that if you are playing at the .25 level there
really isn't much reason to play anything other than fpdw...

Sorry irrdd3000, but I must respectfully state a desenting opinion.
I am (mostly) a .25 denom. player, and I MUCH prefer FPKBJW to
FPDW. For me JW is a more entertaining and interesting game to
play, offers approximately the same 100%+ payback, and has the same
secondary $250 jackpot.

As a matter of fact, my personal ranking of favored games would be:

1. FPKBJW
2. 10/6DDB
3. FPDW
4. DownTownDW
5. DDW

Occasionally, I also enjoy playing triple play 9/6JOB, 8/5BP,
9/7/5DDJP, 9/6BPD and NBP.

On any given day, depending on my mood, I believe that the "reason
to play" any of the above games is fun and possible profit.

That's why it's so nice that we can still find a variety of good VP
games to play (especially in some of the LV "local's" casinos, and
also at a few casinos in Reno.) May it ever be thus!

nothing to be sorry about...different strokes for different
folks...i'm hooked on the wild cards of fpdw (and of course you can
rarely beat the pay table)...the ideal vp game would be a deck with
everything wild, then you wouldn't have to worry about a strategy or
the pay table...
