I normally avoid these due to overvaluation, trips to places I don't want to
go or trips forcing you to all travel in a group on a certain date.
Well Silverton had a promotion in Oct of last yr which was a trip to Disney
World, Hawaii or Mexican Riviera cruise, none of which I really wanted to do
but an employee said that the travel agency, Prestige Travel, would exchange
it for another trip of your choice. Well, guess what, it's true. Just called
them yesterday & was give a warm greeting by their rep. Have to book by Jul &
complete travel by 10/1 which means I can wait till after school starts. It's
great that you're given a yr to travel.
Have had one other great experience like this when Venetian had a cruise
promotion a few years ago. You played a certain amount, none of this top 50
****, had 6 mo to book trip & a yr to take it. Chose from any 7-day cruise that
Carnival had. Paid for an upgrade & took a cruise to Alaska sandwiched around
land trips to Seattle & Vancouver in late fall when merchants drop prices at
end of season. A very good trip facilitated by the flexibility we were given.
So from now on will look for trip promotions with Prestige Travel in the
hopes of earning a trip with a lot of flexibility.
