Robinson casino's url is http://www.robinsonrancheria.com/casino.htm
Robinson is a nice neighborhood casino located outside Nice on Clear
Lake. The main road is route 20, which happens to be a two-lane
highway and traffic is s_l_o_w given that fact there is very few
passing lanes and that you are driving through small towns with 35
mph speed limits. Robinson, like so many CA casinos, is also
expanding by adding a conference center, a hotel, and a sports bar.
The casino floor space itself is not expanding.
Robinson has very low-denomination 9/6 JOB progressives on ISD
machines. The IGT vp machines had very poor pay tables (i.e. 7/5 JOB
at $1 level). I don't play deuces wild but found numerous $1
machines that may be full-pay. The game is called Double Deuces(?)
and is only found on $1 machines on upright Game King machines. The
paytable is 800/400/25/16/11/4/3/2/2/1 with the return being 99.62%.
The game stood out because the typical deuces wild pay table is
800/200/20(?)/15/10/4/3/2/2/1.
There is no cash back in this place. Comps are at 1%, but they use a
countdown meter meaning that if you pull your slot card before the
completion of a countdown, you lose that comp point (this only
applies for machines where you wager less than $1 and/or at non-$1
increments). To repeat, every $1 of action that completes the
countdown meter is $1 in comps for 1% comp rate, which is the
highest I've seen in CA. Players can redeem comp points for gifts,
meals, clothing, etc.
My rankings:
VP - 7
CD - 8 (the best gift was a dvd player, besides food or casino stuff)
CB - 0 (no cash back)
S - 7 (the place is not pack so service was good)
P - YMMV, it's probably a "6" if you are a local, not as strong as
Colusa, but they do have daily specials.
Tito - Yes
Other - a Super 8 motel is about 2 miles away.
Lastly, you must play within a 6-month period, or lose your comp
points.
