they have 3 casinos-nothing about VP in data base-thinking about coming out from east coast looking for quiet place to retire. Been to reno few years ago drove up to sliver springs(awful place) then down to carson city did not see much that was liveable in towns around.

I’ve driven through Yerington a few times, seemed nondescript, really not that much different from Silver Springs. Have you considered Minden or Gardnerville, south of Carson City? Similar population, a lot prettier, a bit milder climate, and a lot closer if you want to go to Reno or Tahoe for a change of pace. There’s even at least one casino with good video poker.
