I've been in such a royal slump lately, but hitting lots of quads to
keep me afloat. Last night I visited Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg,
IN to see their new parking garage and decided to try a little $1 9/6
JOB-Prog. I got dealt: A-clubs, J-clubs, ( ), 10-clubs, Q-clubs and
the most beautiful king ever (clubs of course) graced me with his
presence. The meter flashed: #02 - $7491.00. Two grand more than my
previous high from five years ago. Rats, now I have one of those
pesky W-2G forms.
Yeah me!
well that is interesting, but i just have to know if you were impressed
with the parking garage...

I was very impressed - well lit and easy to
navigate, but the new skywalk really floored
me. There was a scent kinda like new car built
out of cedar wood that made me feel like something
good was about to take place. Uh oh, they must
be pumping in scented oxygen for that feeling of
euphoria (or was that all the Scotch I consumed?).

So you were the reason I was unable to play any VP at the Argosy when
I stopped by Saturday afternoon.
The meter was only back up to
$4300 by then. I generally try to refrain from playing at less than
$5000. My best hit there is $6555. Good to see you were playing
Jacks. Most of the citizens there seem to prefer to play the god
awful DDB game on that bank.

I'm terribly sorry for stepping on your toes. I agree with you
about everyone seemingly playing DDB and big quads with kickers
are just too rare there. I will play DB (9/7/5) every now and
then, but I usually end up reverting back to good old 9/6 Jacks.
The highest I have ever seen Argosy's meter was around $8300.
Historically, the royal seems to hit between $5000-6000. My
near $7500 was the second highest I ever witnessed, but I
usually play at Grand Victoria down the river.
