A vpFREE member went on the "bounce list" yesterday because:
"Remote host said: 553 5.3.0 Mail from 66.218.66.87 rejected,see
http://www.spews.org"
Spews is an anti spam list that many ISP's use to filter incoming
Email. They fight an ongoing battle with Yahoo (and other internet
providers) to get Yahoo and the others to rid themselves of spammers.
This is a difficult problem for the Yahoos of the world, because
spammers come and go and are difficult to control.
Spews has recently gotten much tougher with Yahoo and now have them
on their "blocked" list. This also affects Yahoo Groups (who sends
out vpFREE mail) although Yahoo Groups doesn't have spammer clients.
If your ISP uses Spews (or other similar services) they may be
bouncing messages from Yahoo Groups now.
If your mail from Yahoo Groups bounces, you should contact your ISP,
tell them that Yahoo Groups (as opposed to Yahoo) doesn't spam and
that you want to receive Yahoo Groups Email. Your ISP can "white
list" Yahoo Groups Email or put it on "warn" status, and Email will
go through. You may have to be firm with your ISP, and insist that
they allow Yahoo Group Email to go through.
