Whenever you change your message delivery method (from individual
Email to Daily Digest, for example) on Yahoo Groups, there is a delay
before it takes effect. In the past, this delay has been around 24 hours,
and the delay was never more than 48 hours.
Apparently this delay has lengthened recently. I requested a change from
"No Email" to "Individual Emails" for one of my accounts more than three
days ago, and it hasn't happened yet. There are other members who are
experiencing a similar delay.
Also, Yahoo is very quick to place accounts on their "Bouncing List". My
primary account was recently put on the Bouncing List because my primary
ISP was down for about two hours and a message to me bounced. I
immediately reactivated my account, but I'm still not getting Email again,
and it has been over four days.
There's not much that I can do about Yahoo administrative problems. They
march to their own drummer. I've written them about the delay and bouncing
problems, and will send follow-up messages, but I've never gotten a
personalized response from Yahoo in previous efforts to communicate with them.
