The latest in Customer Service from Prestige Travel:
The second time I talked to our agent at Prestige, I asked if our plane would be met and would we have travel to the dock. She assured me with a "yes". So I mentally checked that off and went on to the next problem. Today we received our documents...we leave at 7AM Friday. The cover letter said that we did not have any transportation to the dock from the airport. She suggested we take a taxi. She doesn't have a clue that it is 130+ miles to Seward.
Tonight I called Checker Cab in Anchorage and asked the fare. "About $250, but if you find an independent you can probably make a deal." I let you draw your own conclusions on what we are thinking about now.
