Final Report on trying to get on board the Alaska cruise we won three weeks ago. The last episode was when the very inept travel agent called to say there was only an inside stateroom available - except for the two weeks I have other plans. I got on the cruise line's web site and found 8 staterooms with windows that were available. This was never offered to us as an option, just balcony or closet. George called and gave her the number of the staterooms and sailing dates, told her any of them would be acceptable. She was on a 5 day vacation and of course, no one else could help us! She finally got back to us and she had to confirm a stateroom for us.
We are set to sail on August 1 from Seward, AK. I have obtained our confirmation number and have checked on line.....our names were there and that was all the proof I needed that she finally did something right.
Thank you to all who e-mailed me personally and on the list. It helped to hear your stories. I guess when you win something the just don't care to give you the service they would a real paying customer!!
