Several weeks ago there was a thread on patenting ideas
for new VP games. Someone responded with a suggestion on
a "do-it-yourself" patent site. I thought I saved this
info, but I cannot find it.

Don't get discouraged too fast. I suggest you read the
book Patent It Yourself. It explains the entire process,
every option and path, etc. This will help you reduce the
time and cost a great deal. You can find a copy in
virtually every library and bookstore. Lots of people get
their own patents.
