Since the VP opportunities here in Kansas City have been declining at a rapid
rate, I have turned to spending my spare time selling on eBay. I have never
tried to promote my items here on this list and am not doing that now. I hope
our new moderator is okay with letting this message go thru.
I just wanted to say there are thousands and thousands of items for sale on
eBay right now with anywhere from 10 to 100% of the proceeds going to charities
assisting in the rescue and recovery from Hurricane Katrina. I would like to
encourage VPFree members to consider taking a few minutes and a few dollars
out of their bankrolls to go to the eBay.com home page, scroll down the page,
and click on eBay Giving Works near the bottom left. You can look thru items
benefiting a specific charity, or search for some item of interest to you or in
some specific category.
I have two charity auctions running right now, and will be listing more over
the next days and weeks. I am not really trying to get you to look at my
auctions specifically, so I won't give you item numbers or links, but you can do
an advanced search for me by my handle, which is the same as the one I use
here. My charity auctions are donating 100% to animal rescue organizations, so
not only do I not make any money on this, I have to pay all the fees out of my
own pocket.
Please do not reply to this email on the list if you want to contact me with
questions or comments. Send me a private email. If you have never shopped on
eBay before and have concerns, let me know and I will tell you how to shop
safely. Thank you for reading and I hope you can all help the hurricane victims
in some way, whether on eBay or by making a direct donation to a group like
the Red Cross or Salvation Army.
