I'll be first to weigh in on this. The new look sucks. What used to
appear consisely on the screen now takes more mouse clicks and you have
to scroll up and down. How is this better for us?

i'll agree with that...the old version was more compact and easier to
scan...though the new expand feature displays all the messages without
having to click on each one...

OK, here's the 3rd negative response. I don't like it a
bit! I'm sure that I'll get used to the new format, but IMO, it's
another case of fixing something that wasn't broken. I guess someone
had to justify his/her salary, so they dreamt up this nonsense.
The aspect I dislike the most, is the disappearance of the "little
box", that used to be at the top and bottom of the screen, that had
"msg.#" in it. By typing a msg# in that box, you would
immediately be taken to that message. Now, not only is the box gone,
but so are the MESSAGE NUMBERS! How is one to try to retrieve old
messages from the archives.......or, is this no longer possible?
I'm also having trouble (that I never had before) when trying to
correct misspellings in my post, or attempting to make new
paragraphs. I can't seem to correct typos w/o "erasing" the rest
of the word. Is anyone else having these problems??
Help!
PS. I was describing this to my husband and he said that the format
might have been changed to provide more space or for security reasons.
Does any knowledgable computer person have a comment on this?
Frankly, I'm DISGUSTED!!
Babe
Another I don't like about the new format is that you can no longer go
directly to a message number. I used to write down message numbers
that I wanted to read later, especially trip reports. Now it appears
the message number doesn't appear next to the list of messages.

It looks like Yahoo is looking for feedback on the "new look". Have
you sent off a comment to Yahoo about your dislikes? Look at the top,
and it has listed: "Yahoo! Groups has a new look! Learn more | Send
Feedback" Perhaps if enough people complain, some changes will be
made.

about it!!
How about the rest of you joining in?
Babe

Good idea. I just sent my negative feedback with specific examples of
the extra keystrokes need to navigate, reverse order of messages,
harder to follow a thread, etc.
Don the Dentist
hmmmm.... I'm guessing your feedback was more constructive than
mine... ;>

I can't find a damn thing. I don't read messages every day so when I
want to go back to the last one I read and type in the post # it says
no match or something. Then when I click next it goes back and I click
previous it goes forward. I VOTE NO!!!
