It's not apparent whether you read online or via mail, but I can tell
you that this threat when viewed online thread does indeed indirectly
link back to a "Button Slapper" thread.
The current thread this week originated with your post that you headed
with the subject "Non Smoking Casinos". Yahoo does a rather bizarre
thing with each post ... it looks back for prior posts having the same
subject. If it finds one, it links the current post back to the prior
thread. In this case, there was a "Non Smoking Casinos" thread back
in Jan. '03 -- to which your post was appended.
However, that thread had a history of its own. It started with a
discussion of "Button Slappers". At some point someone interjected
the remark to the effect that smokers are a far greater annoyance to
them. That comment took on a life of its own; ultimately someone
changed the subject to "Non Smoking Casinos".
Now you know the rest of the story

Thanks, I saw that 2003 thread and could not figure it out.
How in the h*** do you know all this crap <grin>
So from now on, if I want to start a new thread, I should research the
last 4 years or whatever of vpFREE before picking a subject matter.
How stupid can that be? Where do some of these programmers come up
with this stuff.

A blind obsession with "The Way Things Work" 
In this case, about a year ago a post popped up in the AC group asking
about a machine bank that was a total mystery to me. Ultimately I
found that he had threaded back from a current post to one with the
same subject heading, entered in 2001.
It took a bit of head scratching to figure out how that situation came
about. I even entered a test post of my own, using a subject heading
from several years ago, to duplicate it.
No doubt -- WAY TOO MUCH time on my hands ...
