The worst Las Vegas rip off, taxi's has gotten worse. Another increase. It seems that if gas prices rise they get an increase but when they fall it's never rescinded.
Now it costs $3.20 to get in, 25 cents for 1/8 mile (11% increase from before), 20 cents for each 37 seconds wait time, if fromt he airport $1.20 surcharge and they expect a tip on top of this outrage!
They still illegally take the tunnel from the airport ripping off unsuspecting tourists and others. Expect for south strip properties (Mandalay Bay Area) they should be instructed to use the Swenson Road exit and to go to the strip to go left on Trop for properties near MGM. N on Swenson to Naples, then left on Naples, riight on Paradise to Flamingo, left on Flamingo to properties near Caesars. To properties near Stardust, same as above N on Paradise to Convention Ctr Dr., to downtown remain on Paradise which becomes Main street to the Cal, Plaza, Golden Nugget et. For Fitzgeralds, Fremont, etc, Paradise to the Strip to Casino Center.
I fu have no more than legal airline carry on and are going downtown u still have both the #108 and the #109 fromt he zero level at the airport (one level below bag claim) to downtown. Very frequent service with the 2 routes from 5am-1am and 30" service on the #109 1am-5am -the #109 also goes the other way (south) to the South Strip Terminal to connect with the Strip Buses #301 and #302 for those going to the South Strip.
