XVP - Wireless in Las Vegas

The Kinko's in myn area have FREE broadband access via ethernet cable. Since
this is an obsolescent technology (due to Wi-Fi) you can buy a laptop PC for
$10-$20.
They are also on the T-Mobil Hotspot system--but I doubt it's free.

I use my verizon phone and a cable and software from them that cost
me about 35$. Simply hook up my laptop and cell phone, and I have
high speed internet available whenever I want. I don't recall the
charges (they were not that much, but my company pays for it, so I
paid no attention). It is basically just an additional charge on
top of your regular cell phone monthly bill for something they call
mobil office. Works great whenever you are in a strong verizon area
(and I have a great verizon signal anywhere in vegas). If you are
out of a verizon area, you can use your phone for dial-up access. I
will not cost you roaming, virtually everywhere with verizon is what
they call "extended network" which means while it is not verizon, is
does not cost you extra. It is slower, but if you contact someone
from verizon they will give you a number that does not cost you for
access, just comes off your minutes. A friend of mine did it this
way. I have MSN 9, so I just use MSN dial up when verizon is not
available.
