I looked on the Spirit Airlines website for travel DTW–LAS 5/31/14 to 6/4/14 and found a reasonable fare of $240 ( not including all the fees). Then I saw their pop up for adding a hotel. I took a look at their prices. All are total price ( without taxes) based on double occupancy:
Excalibur – $2200
Monte Carlo – $6500
Palms – $7200
Trump – $10,000
Cosmo – $26,000
These are for standard rooms. I also looked at rental cars and the price was between $1000 and $2000 for the 4 days.
Either Spirit is adding a zero on the end of the actual hotel price or is hoping people from other countries have no idea of US currency. The prices listed are crazy.
