XVP - What is on the land?

What is on the land that Harrahs owns that adjoins the Stardust that
they are using as a swap for the Barbary Coast.

(Having a hard time mentally picturing which parcel of land they bought
and where it is. They must have had in mind a swap for sometime?)

I am trying to picture it too, If it includes the land behind the
Stardust that fronts along Industrial Road, I think there is a Budget
Suites there.

Try this site. It has a map that it says shows the site. There are other
interesting things as well.

I stayed in that Budget Suites for 6 weeks a year ago and was told
then that Stardust had bought it out and it would be closing down
sometime in the near future.

Harrahs has been in negotiations with the company that purchased the Ho. Last I knew they had made a deal with them with the intentions of trading with Boyd for Barbary Coast. Guess they managed it.

I would like to propose that there be a special vpFREE page for Birthday Offers.

My birthday is this month, so I started researching the special birthday offers available from various Las Vegas area casinos. Here's what I've gathered from Scot Krause's pages; if anyone knows of any others, please post the name of the casino and the detailed information about their birthday promotion:

  LVA Bonus Points

Fitzgeralds 500 free points within 14 days of your birthday ($5 value) New Frontier 2 x on your birthday (some restrictions apply, see club for details)

  VEGAS VALUES

Fitzgeralds: You can receive 500 cash-back points within 14 days of your birthday (before or after). Simply insert cash into any slot machine on the casino floor, earn at least one point, and 500 points will automatically be added to your account. #10/23/05

Four Queens: Royal Players Club members can receive a two-for-one dinner voucher for Magnolia’s during your birthday month simply by presenting your identification and players card at the slot club booth. (Ongoing promotion.) #42003

Nevada Palace: They offer perhaps the best birthday promotion in the city, especially if you are a player. Report to the Player’s Circle promotion booth on your birthday and receive a FREE T-shirt, Coffee mug and a prize balloon. You will also receive a voucher valid for double pay if you hit a royal flush on your special day and another coupon voucher good for an extra 10% bonus on all hand paid jackpots that day. If you return the following day, you’ll receive a second prize balloon that may include anything from coin bonuses to hotel stays, gifts and even possibly a leather jacket. #92103

Poker Palace: Birthday special: Club members with at least 1,500 lifetime points get a free dinner for two. Can be used anytime during the month of your birthday. #82204

Santa Fe Station: Ongoing Birthday Promotion: FREE $25 table games bet if you stop in and play on your birthday! (Must show a valid I.D.) Not a matchplay…just a free $25 bet! #6406

  Mailers

I have also received birthday offers in the mail from several casinos at which I've played. Here's what I've received thus far; I'm sure YMMV depending on how much you play at each casino. These offers are good the entire birthday month, except where noted:

Cannery - 2 Galaxy movie tickets
Casino Montelago - $50 promo credits or $20 dining certificate
El Cortez - $50 free play; 2x points on birthday only
Ellis Island - $25 cash voucher
  Fiesta - 20,000 bonus points
Fiesta Henderson - $60 food comp at Fuego
Golden Nugget - dinner and gift on the next Sunday after birthday
Palms - $150 spa, food, or free play credit
  Sam's Town - $50 dining certificate
  Silverton - 2 free buffets
  Stations - 2,500 bonus points
Tuscany - dinner for 2 at Tuscany Gardens on birthday

As soon as I sent this, I realized that I forgot to include the Coast birthday promotion. [Scot, these are missing from your pages]

I know that Orleans, Suncoast, Gold Coast, and South Coast (until it becomes South Point) all give you bonus points during your birthday month if you use your card at each casino. But I forget:

How many points do you get? Does it require you to earn at least 1 point or just insert your card?

As soon as I sent this, I realized that I forgot to include the Coast
birthday promotion. [Scot, these are missing from your pages]

---If you are taking them from Vegas Values, it doesn't list all birthday
promotions. I started adding those years ago when I needed some "fillers"
and there weren't enough other weekly promotions to fill every week.

Here's a few more: (call to verify before making a special trip---things
change.)

Hacienda: Free Steak dinner on your birthday with purchase of another.
Charlie Holder's--3x on birthday.
South Coast, Suncoast, Orleans and Gold Coast (month)--2500 points--earn 1
point during birth month.
Nevada Palace(on b'day)--500 points($1.25 value),cup,balloon,T-shirt,2x pay
on royal--slot booth.
New Frontier(on b'day)--2x points on birthday if 10,000 pts earned in
previous 12 months.
Railroad Pass(on b'day)--buffets or coffee shop dinners for two on
birthday--photo ID.
Silver Nugget(during b'day month)--dinner, bowling, two bingo sessions, $10
BJ coupon, roll of coins after four-of-a-kind.
Poker Palace: 2 free dinners during b'day month if you have established
prior play.
Santa Fe: Free $25 bet on your b'day. Visit the pit.

Regards,

Scot

Thanks, Scot. Actually, your Vegas Values page already lists the offers for Nevada Palace, Poker Palace, and Santa Fe. Perhaps you can add the others below to make it complete.

  And what/where is Charlie Holder's?

2500 points per property.

I think they appeared as soon as you played a point at the property.

It's possible all you had to do was insert your card, but I don't think
that's the case because I believe I would have noticed it.
