Going to be in the 90's Sunday with a heat index of 100 in Wisconsin. Windows shut and air pumped here!

Yeah, so guess what it's gonna be like come Sunday here in Philly
(sittin' a little south of you folks).

From I can see (2am your time  you're runnin' about 66 right now.
"Air pumped"? I should think the only think you'd be pumping are your
forearms on the window sashes on both sides of your house to let a
little cool fresh air pass through before the next onslaught of heat
tomorrow.

Have asthma and allergies.....was in hospital a week in June, July and August last summer. Windows closed here. Fresh summer air for me is a killer.

I deeply empathize here. Mind you, I was raised in Northern Michigan
(Traverse City) on Lake Michigan, at the top of a hillside, where the
generally cool summer breezes brought us the freshest, most crystal
clear air one could hope for.

However, it was a shock to the system when I moved east 25 years ago.
We've got trees and shrubs here in Philly that spit out spores
rivaled only by the flowers in a certain Star Trek episode. My
sinuses went nuts and I'd have the odd onset of sudden asthma attack
when driving through certain sections of the area (panicking all
passengers

Things didn't get much better when we moved into a 120 yr old home in
town 18 years ago. The previous tenant, an 89-year old widow, left
the house in some disrepair and I expect a decent amount of must/mold
settled into the sealed attic. Add that to a street full of
blossoming trees and that, in stereotypical fashion, the woman kept
half a dozen cats (if you're looking for nightmare material, consider
that her body lay unnoticed in the house for the better part of a week).

The lungs have toughened with time. You'll only catch a wheeze after
a bit of exertion.

(That off my chest, I think I'll catch a couple of hours. I think the
vipers have quit snapping.)

Ah! Brings me back to my childhood and the benefits of "cross ventilation". <smile>
