I was in a Yahoo chat room Friday evening and was taken over by a hacker
and moved to other chat rooms as if at random. This happened even after
I had the offender, a known hacker, on ignore. There were three other
hackers sitting in the room making comments about how much control they
had of chatters. I tried to use the standard Yahoo Chat Complaint form
but Yahoo didn't accept the complaint saying the Yahoo ID didn't exist.
I copy pasted it exactly as is appeared. I heard that these hackers can
ruin your computer by gaining access if you answer a pm message not
knowing who they are. Friends, this is way beyond "oh put them on ignore
and continue chatting" kind of a thing. Yahoo needs to fix the problem
or shut down operations in my opinion. And my opinion is from having been
online since 95' on AOL and other services. This current situation is a
grave breach of chat security and I urge any of you using Yahoo Chat to
complain to Yahoo directly. I'm not going back to Yahoo Chat until I
receive a notification from Yahoo that the problem is fixed.
