Yes, but the difference is that, if the casino is doing it correctly, you can keep playing a chip until you lose it.

(Commercial plug ahead - but then the reason I wrote this book was to help people with a lot of details like this. Lots of experienced gamblers, even pro's, use it as a reference book, even if they already know and use most of the information in it.)
