XVP: Underage Gamblers

Washington has a law prohibiting gamblers between 18-21, but it isn't
enforced and there is no penalty if caught. One law maker recently
said "if they are old enough to join the military they are old enough
to gamble". However, one study showed as many as 40% in this age group
are problem gamblers. Yesterday the Quest Casino near Spokane
announced they will no longer allow persons under 21 on the casino
floor because its the right thing to do.

I happen to agree with the lawmaker that said, "if they are
old enough to join the military they are old enough to gamble."
And, I will add that men and women who are 18 to 21 should
also be allowed to drink alcohol, too.

I would like to know exactly what makes the people at Quest
Casino think their policy the "right thing to do."
