Just wanted to mention that I saw Jubilee at Bally's Vegas again, about the
6th time ever. This is really a great show. A true Vegas-style show with
showgirls, feathers, fantastic costumes and sets, combined with classic music
from the 40s, such as by George Gershwin. Many of the showgirls are topless -
but all in excellent taste. They now have a 7:30pm Sat. 'covered' show so
you can take the kids.
If you haven't seen this one, it is really worthwhile. Excellent singing,
dancing, and a bit of nudity! Also they have a couple of excellent extra
acts, such as a great juggler and 2 guys doing a fantastic balancing act. The
only part I didn't like was the current "flyer" who starts out as a hunchback,
then uncovers and "flies" on long curtains. He was good, but the music and
vibes were odd.
The cast is probably the largest in Vegas, at least 50, on a great stage
with dancers and showgirls coming down from the ceiling over the audience, on
the sides, etc.
This grand extravaganza is the #1 show to see in Vegas, if you have never
seen it before.
For Harrahs Total Rewards members, Diamond members can now get 2 for 1
tickets, 7* members 2 freebies. For others, check the half-price ticket booths
(such as the one at Bill's casino across the street) or 'what to see/do'
booklets to get discounts.
This show is worth the full price of admission, and no seats are bad. In
fact, you are probably better off to be sitting towards the back to see the
showgirls who come down out of the ceiling.
With the discounts abounding in Vegas nowadays, this is a definite bargain
at the half-price booth.
