I think you should consider the possibility that some
people DO understand the game, but just think it's
boring. I can think of a few VP games that fall into
that category.
For that matter, I understand the rules and strategy
for Blackjack, but it's never really gotten my blood
to boil, either.

I've got to laugh when I read the comments saying
that Holdem is boring.
I'll take it as a defense mechanism among those who
either don't understand
the game, are intimidated by the game, or just feel
insecure as primarily
vp players -- the ultimate longterm grind-it-out
exercise in repetitive
mechanics that exists in any casino.
Holdem is certainly no less challenging than vp, and
with the large amounts
of money at stake in any given hand, the excitement
level is very high. The
experts are correct when they say it's easy to learn
and extremely
difficult to master.
Don't dump on holdem if you don't know the game.
