XVP-Texas Holdem

out there to make them nibble and not fold. I suggest trying a little "play
money" hold'em before you condemn the game.

On Yahoo this past summer, I took the $1000 play money
they stake you to and turned it into $4000 over the
course of about three weeks. When I asked hockeystl
if that meant I was ready for a real money game he
laughed and laughed....

I took that as a "no".

I believe that the best way to learn the game is playing online in the low buy in sit and go tournaments. They are great fun for a low cost gamble.
