XVP - Stardust Policies and features, "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly"

After all kinds of inquiries I have found out this about the Stardust.

Before any comps are issued, if you have a free room you must earn 800 points/day before comps are awarded. If you are staying 3 days that means 2400 points must be earned before you will get any comps. Of course you get cashback at the new reduced rate (25 cents per $100 coin in for VP players). However, if you are a regualr they send you welfare checks to cash each month. Figuring the cut offs on this is not so easy.

They have no 100% games, except is a progressive goes positive but they get close.

A few JOB 25 cent and 50 cent
a few ACE$ bonus poker at 25 cents
a few banks of NSUD (25 cent and 5 cent)
9/7 50 cent DB and BP progressive
I think there is also a bartop progressive on JOB ??

They have one multi deck NS BJ table.

They do have free local calls if your room is comped.

They are obstinate with late checkouts, make you call the AM you check out while you are asleep to get a measly 2'.

Best ++ is the graveyard Keno Staff, very helpful and friendly, non smoking section, and they do what they can with comps under a new management comp policy.

When the monorail spur gets to the Stardust (under construction) that will help, but they do have a free shuttlt to SAM's Town andpossible the Hard Rock. Sreved by Strip bus #301 and 1 stop away from strip express #302, and 2 blocks away from D.I. bus (via convention center Drive) #112 (to ge to Boulevard Mall, Boulder Station etc).

Hope this helps those who are thinking about the Stardust

Soooo .. to net it out you need to put in over $8000/ per day to get any food comps. At Main Street Station(another Boyd property) that would almost have you at full RFB. At Sams Town that would probably give you RFBL with a very good variety of VP.
I think the Stardust is going to price themselves out of the market. Why would a 10k per day player want to stay at the Stardust ?

Regards
A.P.

Monorail spur to the Stardust? There is no such thing under construction and
you surely won't see it happen in this decade!
