XVP: Southwest Airlines?

How does this place work when they send you an email update of the new
prices.

I just got an email update this Tuesday at 8:45 AM for San Jose to Vegas for
$69 each way.

I go to book it and everything says unavailable. Did that many people book
from San Jose to Vegas in 1 hour or are these fares only available on
certain days etc??? Anybody know???

There are plenty of dates available for those fares between San Jose and Las
Vegas. The fares are not still available for every flight or every date and
you must book 21 days in advance like the rules state in the email. If you
go to Southwest Shortcut to Low Fares from the SWA home page and enter your
preferred travel dates, it will show the lowest fare available on all dates
for a one month window around your dates.

It's definitely over 21 days in advance - I was looking at end of October
(31) and then December.
Problem is it's the weekend...

The fine print doesn't say, No Weekends it just says, Not During Busy Times
and Holidays. That could be whenever the hell they want it to be...

The lowest fares for any airline are for a limited number of seats on each
flight. Since SWA is very popular the chances of getting the lowest fares
for a weekend are certainly reduced. In your case the $69 fare is not
available on both Fri and Sun until 2/16. Then it is available through the
3/6 deadline.
