xvp-sometimes asking does work

I visit LV 1-3 times a year, living in the Boston area it's a long trip. I generally play at Palms/Sunset. I called a host (shot in the dark)at the GVR, left a message on ans/mach., told them about my play at Sunset and asked if they could accomodate me. They never returned my call, so I thought they didn't want my business. Aproximately four weeks later I received a mail invitation for two nights free, plus a dining certificate ($75.00) plus a free/play ($75.00) and a week after received a phone call to go to a "Luau" and an invite to a slot/tourney.

My play is limited at GVR and was quite surprised they would be that generous as I get rooms and food at Sunset (with substancial more play) but never free play. I thought I would get much less at GVR being it is a more upscale venue.

I play mostly 100%vp at the quarter/$.50 level and the majority of my play is on DDB.

     Just asking sometimes works!

It never hurts to ask.? The recession IMHO has generated a lot more hotel stay invites even for locals.? Mine have gone from 2 nights/month to 8 nights (four properties) in the last three (3) months.?
