XVP-Shows without 4 letter words

I'm probably going to be at the Riviera with some east coast people in
July. Call me (us) old-fashioned, but we do not appreciate hearing
the "F" word in so called comedy routines. Dennis Miller is a prime
example. Is that the only adjective in the English language nowadays?
At the Riviera, I'm specifically interested in "The Amazing
Johnathan". Has anyone seen him? I would also be interested in any
opinions of Splash and La Cage.

I've seen AJ at the Nugget a couple of times and also at the Flamingo. Haven't yet caught him at the Riviera (will in about 3 weeks). I have enjoyed all his shows. However, there are a few "four letter words", and also some props, nudity and inuendo. But at least every other word isn't f*ck like Miller and Carlin. Can't help you with the other shows.

Hope this helps

George,

I saw the Scinta's at the Rio and their show was pretty clean. That's the only one I can recommend..

Yeah, that's pretty #$^&#*-ing old fashioned.

Just kidding. I didn't ever think I would be bothered by that word, but I find it more and more irritating to hear it 137 times in every R-rated movie that comes out. It's one of the reasons I haven't been inside a theater in over 3 years.

If The Amazing Jonathon's act(s) on Comedy Central are any indication, you'll probably want to stay away. I don't specifically remember him being bleeped, but he's considered another "angry comic". He has a web site that promotes his show in LV and there are various warnings about the language and the "sick" jokes. I'm guessing you won't be amused.

Amazing Jonathan is very crude but I have to admit, I've seen him 3 times
and laughed myself silly. If you don't like foul language then you would
probably find him offensive but I am a 52 yr. old conservative, non-swearing
woman and I would probably go see him again if I had the chance. Of course
I live with a man with a gutter mouth so maybe I'm just used to it!

======================
Splash is a very good variety show!
With the success of George Carlin, Chris Rock, Robin Williams... I
guess a lot of new comedians couldn't help but follow and use the 4
letter words you are talking about.
The ones who don't use them -- died already: Bob Hope, for example.

So to avoid the "Four" letter words, you'll just have to see shows
like "Mama Mia" at Mandalay Bay.

Old-Fashioned, You might consider Second City at the Flamingo. I wasn't counting and wouldn't claim to know that absolutely no expletives were uttered, but if so, they certainly weren't central to the show or repetitive. I don't remember any.
