We are planning on one of our quarterly trips to Vegas the first week of April. We do not play at Harrahs so we have no RC's that we need to use. We are also going to have my 75 yo M/L in tow that hates the food ANYWHERE we choose to eat. Jenn & I love seafood and were considering the Rio buffet. My questions are 1. Is the buffet worth the price considering no comps are involved. 2.How is the food quality and 3.How are the lobsters served. We spend most of our time playing downtown or at the Palms. Any comments/suggestions are welcome.
XVP Rio Seefood Buffet
If you have a car and want to "see" great seafood, try the M seafood buffet on the weekend. IMO, It is outstanding!

You might want to consider the M Resort buffet on the weekends - opens at 11:00 AM. Excellent fare, amazing buffet - about $30. Better than Harrahs, IMO.

The Rio seafood buffet is a joke. Many people want to eat seafood for health reasons. A lot of the stuff at the Rio is fried. You will find few healthy selections there. Lobster, they have some little spiny things - I think they are lobster birth defects or something.
I would also suggest the M as a much better choice. Even the seafood options on the regular buffet at M, or Wynn or Bellagio are better than the Rio Seafood buffet.
As for the lines at the M Buffet, even the VIP does not work any more as they have made it a "disabled" line and everyone is now disabled.
