XVP - Review - PALMS Buffet -- What a disappointment!!

I like Bally's buffet, $20, including tax, for dinner, not crowded [@5:30p
on Monday], upscale crowd [well, several glared at the brown belt on my black
slacks] They have deserts to die for [maybe the best cheesecake in Vegas],
peel and eat shrimp, crab legs, great prime rib, many other items I'd compare
with Bellagio, the service at the table was outstanding. I was only wanting
for lamb in the buffet line. The sous chef was hanging around and told me they
never have lamb.
JT,he wonders if you hold the little thermometer will it make the sous chef
start to sweat

Speaking of buffets, just wanted to make a short comment. I'm not a really big fan of buffets, but liked the Suncoast's more than most. But now that we've been playing at the Rampart since Suncoast dropped their .50 NSUD, I really like the Rampart buffet. They have stuff I've never seen in Las Vegas before (lichee nuts, shrimp chips!!). Plus our play warrants free buffets pretty much whenever we want, which the Suncoast never gave us. Rampart beats Suncoast, hands down!

The wife and I often avail ourselves of the breakfast buffet at Bally's, never stayed there. With a Harrah's Club card they offered a 10% discount, I'm not sure if they still do.

The food quality was excellent, omlettes were well cooked and tasty. Bagels with lox and cream cheese. All the juice and coffee you want. It was well worth the money.
