Steakhouse at Texas Station
Food and service rate an A+; steaks were as good as any I've ever
had, and salads and appetizers were terrific as well. Service cannot
be faulted. You will hit about $50/person plus alcoholic beverages.
Recommended: Austin's steak (a marinated bone-in New York)

Opening today at Fiesta Henderson
I stumbled on this one last night while attempting to have dinner at
Garduno's. They have closed Garduno's and replaced it with....a
Mexican restaurant. They were having an employee evaluation day
where employees could eat for free in order to evaluate the quality
of the food and service. They graciously allowed us to participate
even though I'm not an employee. For this night only we actually
drew our appetizer and entree choices out of a basket; we got Crab
con Queso for our appetizer and a Green Chile Chicken Chimichanga
and chicken fajita salad for our entrees.
Everything was excellent, and the salsas at the salsa bar were a cut
above what you usually find. The crab con queso (crab mixed with
cream cheese onions, cilantro, red bell pepper, and served with
chips) was particularly good.
I haven't seen their menu yet, but I intend to revisit later this
week to see what's on their menu and see if their other dishes are
as good as our randomly selected one from last night.
NB: Both of the above plays may be financed by playing positive EV
video poker at the respective locales; 5X point days at the Fiestas
(which can be transferred for use at any Stations BTW) are still the
best bargain in town.
