I would like to begin by stating that I am a constant lurker,
occasional contributor to this newsgroup.
I love Las Vegas, I love video poker, and I love reading the
accounts of all of the constant contributors to this newsgroup.
I am writing to solicit a little favor (I know, what right do
I have to ask for any favors?)
I read the posts via the emailed digests. Some of the
posters, add a cute quote at the end of their posts. Not different
quotes, but the same quote every time. I found them amusing the
first 50 or so times I read them, but now they are just annoying.
As I try to peruse the posts for the wonderful information
included in them, I constantly have to interrupt my train of thought
to skip ahead because of the repeated quotes.
A second obstacle to reading the posts is the inclusion of
WAY too much of a previous post to which one is responding.
For example, there was a very interesting and succulent post
recently that covered 2 weeks of gambling and dining in Las Vegas.
The post was pages long. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it the first
time, but someone responded to it and included the entire posting
(many pages) with their post.
I apologize if I offend anyone. I am just trying to make the
reading experience better for everyone.
Thank you for your kind indulgence.
