XVP?Re: Vista and theVP programs

Joe, I have a new computer with Vista pre-installed. Microsoft does that
auto-update thing to you. Since you were away from your computer, you didn't
see the little pop-up screen telling you that it's going to reboot in 5
minutes unless you click a box. There was a new one sent out last night, I let it
install this morning and it DID improve speed.

If you sign on sometime and think things are moving mighty slow, it's
probably downloading updates. Happens about every two or three weeks +/-.

I had a strange thing happen a couple of hours ago. I had been
reading/deleting vpFREE emails:-) Had a conversation with my wife for ten or so minutes
while I ignored my laptop. Suddenly it logged off on its own! I resisted
panicking and my screen then had messages such as upgrading Windows. It took 20
minutes or, perhaps less and my laptop rebooted on its own. I CAN TELL THAT
PERFORMANCE HAS IMPROVED! Wow. My keyboard problem has virtually disappeared,
albeit it did happen once while sending another email a few minutes ago. I
suspected VISTA problems before, now am virtually certain that was the problem.

I wasn't away from the computer, it was right in front of me and I looked away to have a conversation with my wife. The first thing I noticed was the log off procedure starting up without any input from me. I don't know what MS did, but I am glad!
