XVP: Rampart Wireless Headphones

For 150 points you can earn a wireless headphone at Rampart. If anyone
has one please let me know if it works as advertised. How far away
from the transmitter does it work?

I picked up a set last night. It required 2 AA batteries for the transmitter and 2 AAA batteries for the earphones (not included). I put the transmitter in an upstairs bedroom and was able to receive a signal downstairs at the opposite end of the house (sometimes with a little static). When first turned on it wants to go to a FM station on the built-in FM receiver. You have to repeatedly press the "Band" button to get to the source hooked up to the transmitter.
