XVP - Rampart Speed Bumps - Karen

Or for anyone else that has recently been to the Rampart: are the
speed bumps now past ridiculous? Geez, why not just install ten stop
signs before a driver can even get into the parking deck, let alone
gamble? Furthermore, these speed bumps are not like at Caesars where a
driver can actually go 5MPH or 10MPH; the Rampart speed bumps are the
type that either you go over them at 1MPH or you shake the daylights
out of your vehicle.

I agree. It's like putting bricks in the roadway.

The speed bumps are very annoying, however it will probably do no good
to complain to the Ramparts casino as it is leased from J. W. Marriot.
When I have friends stay at there, I will have them complain to the
hotel management.

I couldn't agree more. I go in the northern most entrance off Rampart
to avoid a few bumps. Also, be carful going in and out of the parking
garage. Unless I go slow, I bottom out on the entrance.

I also hate the speed bumps going out of GVR's parking garage.

I wish more were designed like at the Orleans, where if you go slow
there is no bump and only speeders get rattled.

I have found the best approach is to floor it until you are about 10 feet from the bump, then slam on the breaks stopping just as you reach the bump, then creep over it and repeat. I know this is John's method also, but he forgot to mention it.
