XVP - Philly to AC without a car

I'm going to Philadelphia for a conveference this weekend, and I was
wondering if anyone knew the best way to get from Philadelphia to AC
without a car. Is the NJ Transit train from 30th St Station best?

Also, what kind of Odds can I expect on Craps? Does anyone rate your
play on line and odds bets, or is it all rated just on the line? What
kind on minimums can I expect during the Super Bowl on Sunday. I'll
probably play at places that have Pick'em.

I can't think of any place anywhere that gives you rating for your
odds bets in craps. They have no advantage & so have no reason to.
They have enough suckers betting big on the line & taking no odds as
it is.

I am Pretty Sure that NO Where in AC rates the odds. Only Line and Place
Bets.The Odds offered are mostly 2X but there is usually 1 or 2 tables that
have 5X at Caesars, Showboat on 2X when Last Played There.. My guess is
Table Minimums will be at least $15-25 at the Craps Tables. Caesars does
Have Pick Em (though I am not sure whether they have the Full Pay). There
are quite a few Super Bowl Parties but I think they are all or most by
Invitation. The Sports Books in Atlantic City are VERY SMALL and Minimal (
I'm not sure you can bet on Football in New Jersey?) , Caesars does have one
of the Larger tough there is NO room around it other than close Seats in it.
Have never taken the Train but I know it drops Right at the Convention
Center only a couple of Blocks from Caesars and Trump Plaza, with a couple
others connected. Maybe Harry Porter can give more info as I think he is

I generally take NJ Transit to AC (I'm a "Center City" Phila denizen
who gave up my car when I moved into the City in 1989. The occasional
rental - I work in the city mostly and it's very walkable - is both
cheaper and more convenient.)

The train fare is $6.60. Buy your ticket before boarding or pay a
$3.00 surcharge. A ticket machine is located in the main station,
near the Amtrak customer service office (I think). Cash, Debit or
Credit is accepted. Upon arrival at the Convention Center in AC,
there are a number of shuttle vans that will drop you at the casino at
no charge. Hurry though, they fill and leave quickly and during peak
periods you can find yourself without a seat.

Another suggestion:
   If you have the time, check the Philadelphia Inquirer for bus ads or call the bus companies. They run buses all the time from Philly, and you get a coin bonus too. Greyhound runs regular buses from the terminal at 12th and Filbert (just behind The Gallery at Market East), and they might give coin bonuses, too, with more flexibility on return schedule. (The ones from NY run about every half hour, with bonus, and you have three days to use your return ticket, but I don't know the Philly schedule.)

Most places have been running 3,4,5x and even 5x. The minimums have been

YEs there are Variable Odds and Yes there are Usually $10 and even $5 tables
at most AC Casinos off Hours, BUT I do believe that in Relation to SUPER
BOWL Weekend, which I think was ICRoyals Question. Just my Opinion is There
will Be either Nothing or VERY Limited Availability under $15 at the Craps
Tables. It is a Big Weekend in Town though Nothing Like in Las Vegas where
the Weekend is one of the BIGGEST of the Year and the Craps Tables on the
Strip at Least will Pop up to either $15 or $25 Minimums. VPnDice (Tom and
Jo).

Absolutely right, Tom. Even the $25 tables will probably be packed.
Same is true of Blackjack. Anyone who wants a spot at a $15 table
should wear some football gear of their own!

That hasn’t been the case for the playoffs and championships. Maybe that had
something to do with the frigid temperatures. With a better than 40% chance
for icy precipitation on Sunday, anyone want to take bets on minimums at
places like the recently re-expanded Sands?

FYI-Congress does not allow sports books outside Nevada (thank you, Bill
Bradley). Most Atlantic City casinos have race books, and they vary in size.
