I've avoided this thread so far because I knew Mickey Crimm would be
avoiding it and I want to be cool like him. The way I would have handled the
noise
would be to not complain because employees in casino eateries are so
incompetent these days for unusual situations that it would only have made
matters
worse and I would be more angry. I would use the same technique I do when a
neighbor or his dog is making noise when I'm trying to sleep. I make
believe it's
my dog or a close family member making the noise. That makes the sound not
unpleasant. Unless the rake is too high.
JT

In a rare situation JT has been known to respond to his own post but in the
third person. He's not particularly religious but knows a biblical story about
when Jesus was camping in the desert with his followers. All night long in
the tent next to Jesus whirling dervishes carrying on. The next day the
disciples asked how Jesus could stand the noise. He responded, "I just let them
whirl."

JT added, "Speaking of the J guy, I was talking on the phone to a Jewish
friend on Christmas Eve this year and he said he had to go. I asked where?" He
said, "I have to go kill Jesus."

"Oh no." JT said, "I'm way off topic and will be banned from vpFREE but
maybe still be allowed to be a casino monitor even though I don't know anything
about web programming and think JAVA is really strong coffee.... JT went on to
say, "I had a friend who hated hearing "Merry Christmas" so much that he
decided to eat dinner at Canter's Deli on Christmas Eve knowing he wouldn't hear
those words. He sat at a table, the waitress brought him the menu and said,
"Merry Christmas."
